Telecommunication giant Vodafone paid for the transport fares of over 1,200 customers travelling from Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi and Ho on December 24, 2016.
The network refunded the fares of all customers heading to the three locations from Circle, Kaneshie and Tudu.
The move dubbed ‘Akwantuo Ay3 Free’ is part of Vodafone’s corporate social responsibility. This is the second time running the company has embarked on this initiative.
A customer had to show proof of a travelling ticket and will be refunded through Vodafone Cash instantly.
The company has lined up various activities to celebrate its customers this festive season. They include a campaign dubbed, #VodafoneSuperRedChristmas, to reward and excite its customers throughout the festive season.
The line-up began with a “Night of Drama & Cocktail”, held at Kempinski Hotel for its high valued and Enterprise customers across the country.
The Fixed Broadband team also took Santa Claus to the homes of over 300 customers, bearing different kinds of gifts in appreciation of their commitment over the years.
Other activities including a Vodafone X Mall day, an insomnia movie night and musical concerts for the youth have been arranged throughout the festive season.
