The playing body of the senior national team, the Black Stars have agreed to accept ‘any amount’ offered by the Sports Ministry as their winning bonus ahead of their opening game against Uganda in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

It was unclear as to how much the Black Stars were going to be paid as their winning bonus after several squabbles with former Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuije over bonuses.

Mr. Vanderpuije previously slashed bonuses of the Black Stars to $8,000, from $10, 000 which led to a rift between the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry.

But Communications director of the Ghana Football Association, Sannie Daara who confirmed the new development to Starr sports said the players have consented to accept any amount the nation will be able to offer.

“Yes it’s true that the players have accepted any amount the nation will give them.”

The Black Stars play Uganda in Port Gentil on Tuesday in their opening game at 31st edition of AFCON IN Gabon.

The Black Stars will then Mali before taking on Egypt in their last group game at the tournament.
