Ivory Coast’s head coach Michel Dussuyer resigned on Sunday following his shock exit from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations underway in Gabon.

The Ivorian Football Federation announced the resignation of the Frenchman who had spent 18 months on the job and the FA is currently putting appropriate measures in place to find his success.

The defending champions did not win any game in Gabon.

After the opening two draws with Togo and DR Congo, they lost to Morocco in the final game.

Ivory Coast drew goal-less with Togo, rallied from behind to draw 2-2 with DR Congo before falling 1-0 to Morocco.

Rachid Alioui’s curling beauty off 25 yards created the only difference in the Morocco – Ivory Coast game.
