The Black Stars of Ghana recorded their first pre -tournament win by beating Uzbekistan giants Bunyodkor by 2-0 at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai ahead of the AFCON.
Captain Asamoah Gyan scored the first goal in the 66th minute after a pullout from the flanks from Christian Atsu.
Ghana outplayed the Uzbeks, but just fifteen minutes to end proceedings the Black Stars made it two on the 77th minute through Frank Acheampong after newcomer Terkpetey’s strike hit the upright.
Ghana are likely to play another friendly before the team departs to Gabon for the tournament.
The Black Stars have been placed in Group D where they play Uganda, Egypt and Mali.
