President Nana Akufo-Addo has sworn in Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey as Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration at the country’s embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Today (Saturday).

Ayorkor Botchwey could not be sworn in Friday because she was away from the country on official duty.

“The 13th minister, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has already entered into her functions.

“ She is in Addis  Ababa attending the Foreign Ministers meeting in preparation for the AU summit of 29th to 31st of January, 2017.

“I will swear her in at Ghana’s Embassy in Adis Ababa on Saturday evening,” president Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed Friday during the swearing in of first batch of his ministers approved by parliament.

Akufo-Addo  is in Addis Ababa to attend the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Africa Union (AU).
