Accra mayor Alfred Oko Vanderpuije is trending on social media following a drama which unfolded at the premises of the Parliament House in Accra when former President JJ Rawlings ‘snubbed’ him.
The MP-elect for Ablekuma South wanted to exchange pleasantries with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) founder on the red carpet, but it ended up in an embarrassing spectacle.
Rawlings in a video going viral on social media beckoned the mayor to step aside as the latter tried to interact with him.
