Co-founder of investment bank, Databank, Ken Ofori Atta has been named finance minister-designate by President Akufo-Addo.
The President made the announcement Tuesday at the Flagstaff House, the seat of government.
Mr. Ofori Atta was born in 1959 at Kibi, a town in the Eastern region. He serves as a director for numerous companies in the country. He is a Director for Enterprise Group Ltd and Trust Bank Ltd of The Gambia. He is a Director at the International Bank of Liberia and is a Board Member of the Acumen Fund.
He is a fellow of the Aspen Institute and was adjudged Ghana’s 2nd most respected C.E.O in 2008. He is a Donaldson Fellow at Yale University and a recipient of the John Jay Award from Columbia University.
Meanwhile, the President has also nominated a former finance minister Yaw Osafo Marfo as his Senior Minister –designate.
