The Chief Executive Officer of  Focus 1 media group, Kwame Adu Mante, has devolved his shares in Radio Maxx.

Radio Maxx has for the past decade been a part of the most influential media group in the Western and Central regions. The Focus 1 media group has in its stock Beach FM, Spice FM and Focus 1 advertising.

As a young entrepreneur, Kwame Adu Mante, took over the management of the struggling radio station in 2007 and successfully transformed it into a modern, well programmed urban radio station which became the career destination of many young broadcast journalists within its catchment area.

Under the current arrangement, the management and operation of Radio Maxx reverts to the original owners of the station.

The move has become necessary because after years of managing and operating the subsidiary (Radio Maxx), Kwame Adu Mante, following months of personal deliberations and consultation has decided to take on a new challenge  in the banking and finance sector of the economy.

He  explained, “I believe it’s a good time to move into more challenging business areas as an entrepreneur; the financial sector provides a broad range of opportunities and potential which remain untapped.”

Despite the expansion in the strategic focus of the focus 1 group, its current holdings in Spice 91.1 fm and Beach 105.5 fm remain intact and shall be strengthened to enable it maintain its role as the leading radio broadcast hub in the region.

The two stations, Spice FM and Beach Fm together control about 20 – 30 percent of the audience share in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis.

Mr Adu Mante, since signing off the deal to relinquish his interest and shares in Radio Maxx, has already started a well structured micro finance company (UNIK LIFE) which shows a lot of brilliant potential, towards the overall objective of mopping up excess liquidity in the unbanked segment of the economy.

“Our brands have a strong reputation; built through years of hardwork our commitment towards protecting our brand identity by delivering trusted, professional financial services to the clients remains steadfast,” Kwame Adu Mante explained in an interview, as he set out the vision of his  entry into the banking and finance sector.

As a young successful entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr. Adu Mante is poised to achieve greater heights in business. Adu Mante says he is driven foremost, by a strong desire to create jobs and wealth for the thousands of young men and women in the Ghanaian society.
