Some unpaid contractors who worked for the outgoing government are picketing around  the offices of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (Getfund) in Accra.

The contractors say they are owed for jobs they did in the last six months.

They claim the finance ministry has refused to heed to a directive by outgoing President John Mahama to pay them their monies.

According to Starr News’ Daniel Lartey, who is with the contractors at the GETfund office, the  group is heading to the finance ministry for a response to their demands.

Lartey reports also that some of the contractors are owed two years of work done under the outgoing NDC administration.

The contractors were  engaged for the construction  of  schools and other educational facilities across the country.
