The matter between former Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba and SAFA is now set for arbitration.
This is after the two parties failed to reach a resolution at the CCMA on Tuesday as Mashaba continues to fight the grounds of his dismissal as Bafana coach.
“We didn’t reach a solution and now the case is going for arbitration,” Mashaba’s legal representative Claudio Bollo tells KickOff
Mashaba was fired in December after being found guilty of ‘gross misconduct, insubordination and violating SAFA’s communications policy’ at a disciplinary hearing.
He was previously indefinitely suspended from his coaching duties on November 13 following a tirade aimed at the SAFA hierarchy after Bafana’s 2-1 win over Senegal in World Cup qualifying.
