Black Stars midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has terminated his contract with Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala after an unsuccessful five months stint with the club.

Rabiu joined the Russian Premier League side in July last year with an ankle injury he suffered which still lingers on—as a result the club considers him a misfit.

The 27-year old was sidelined for six months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in May.

He joined Anzhi from rival club Kuban Krasnodar where he spent three seasons, playing 51 matches and scoring a goal.

Meanwhile reports in the Russian media however indicate that Rabiu could make a move to the Turkish Super Lig.
