The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has issued a new five Ghana Cedis note Friday March 3, 2017,  to mark the country’s 60th anniversary.

Also, it is to celebrate the bank’s six decades of existence. The new note, according to the Central Bank, will be used as a legal tender alongside the old note.

“What we are  using to climax the celebration is the note,” the Head of Currency Processing at the Central Bank told Starr Business’ Osei Owusu Amankwah.

The new note, he indicated,  after this issuance will no more be in the system.
