Ghana midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari says he hopes to continue playing football for the next six to seven years before considering retirement despite recent concerns about his fitness.
The 32-year-old played 66 minutes before he was replaced with Alessandro Bruno when his side Pescara shared the spoils 1-1 with his former club AC Milan in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.
The Ghanaian says he would branch out into car business after his football days rather than becoming a coach like a number of former footballers.
“I do not drink and do not smoke, so I have between six to seven years before I take off completely from football. I do not dream of becoming either coach or anything related to that after retirement,” Muntari told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I have a few car dealings and that is what is cool. You know what I see? Mechanics, those with greasy hands fiddling under cars.
“Now, however, we are thinking about how to save Pescara from relegation. Then, after that, I will end the contract since it will be unlikely to remain at Pescara after some years. My family is in Milan, my son is 18 months old and I want see him every day.
“I will remain in Milan and do some businesses in mechanics like I have started after everything,” he added.
