Neymar’s winning goal for Barcelona on Sunday in the 4-1 win over Granada was his 100th goal for the Spanish giants.

One-hundred goals in 177 games is some going and it’s made even better when you consider he’s done it all at a quicker rate than team-mate Lionel Messi.

Messi reached 100 goals in 188 matches – 11 more than the 25-year-old took to reach his tally.

The breakdown includes 64 in La Liga, 21 in the Champions League, 14 in the Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Supercopa.

His first goal for the club came against Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa in 2013.

He celebrated his 100th goal in typical fashion.

Fingers pointed to the skies and surrounded by his team-mates.

Since joining from Santos in 2013, Neymar has become a fans’ favourite – something that was yet again evident when one fan ran on the pitch to celebrate with him after scoring in Sunday’s game.

But it was his team-mates who he chose to thank immediately after his milestone strike.

‘I am happy to have scored my 100th goal and I dedicate it to my team-mates who always help me,’ he said.

‘I’m also happy with the win which is more important. I can’t pick a goal out from the 100 – they’ve all been important but the best one was probably my first one – in the Supercup.’
