The Akuapem North Municipal Assembly members have massively endorsed the President’s nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive.

Mr. Denis Edward Aboagye received a total of 74 Yes votes as against 2 of No votes of the total valid votes cast of 76.

The election was conducted by the Akuapem North Municipal Electoral Commission staff under the guidance of the Eastern Regional Director of the EC, Madam Faith Amedzake.

Aboagye called for total support from all and sundry as the development of the municipality is going to receive a huge boost.

He thanked assembly members, chiefs, and the elders of Okuapemman for their unflinching support.

“My resounding endorsement means there is unison and clarion call from the king makers to be the representative of the President. I promise not to disappoint this confidence reposed in me,” he said.

Present at the event were the two MPs from the municipality, Dan Botwe, Minister of State in Charge of Regional Re-Organization and Development and Ama Dokua Asiama Adjei, Deputy Minister for Information.
