One person has been killed in Assin Akropong in the Assin North district of the Central region after a building collapsed.
The mud house that collapsed also left one person in critical condition who is receiving treatment at the Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.
The deceased identified as Yaa Nimo, 75, and the injured Yaa Atta were pounding fufu in front of the house when the mud house collapsed on them resulting in the fatalities.
The building according to the police was weak and was likely to collapse any moment.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Assin Fosu Francis Xavier Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
