Documentation work at the Special Weapon and Tactical Team (SWAT) of the Ghana Police Service is expected to witness an ease henceforth, with the donation of a Canon photocopier machine to the department.

The donation was done by the main Ashanti Regional authorized dealer for MTN Ghana, Ashcell.

Corporate Services Executive of Ashcell, Jerry Otchi disclosed to Ultimate Business that responding to the request was borne out of the healthy relationship they have with security agencies.

“The police especially the SWAT are the ones who provide guard services for most institutions across the Kumasi metropolis and so we have had a relationship with them for the past six years.
Once in a while they may come and ask that they want something but this is the first time, they brought a specific request that they needed photocopiers to facilitate their work; so we decided to just provide it for them.

“We do these things on need basis and also depending on how our budget situation looks like and also the impact”, Mr. Otchi added.

A similar donation was made to the Ashanti Regional Passport Office where Ashcell donated 50 plastic chairs to help accommodate the huge number of persons who visit to transact business.
He revealed that: “It is a combination of the space available and the urgency that is why we chose 50 chairs. We have a relationship with the passport office in the last two years.

“We have donated two air-conditioners and a television so that when the customers come, they can find something to do while waiting in queue”.

The beneficiaries on their part expressed gratitude for the kind gesture done them by Ashcell.
