Former President John Mahama has paid his respect to Ghanaian workers as the country joins the rest of the world to mark ‘workers day’ today, May 1.
May 1 is observed across the world to appreciate the contribution of workers towards development.
The former Ghanaian leader in a tweet said :”It’s Workers’ Day. I join my fellow countrymen and women to salute you all, gallant Ghanaian workers”.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo will be the special guest at today’s National May Day Parade to be held at the Independence Square.
The event is under the theme: “Ghana @60: Mobilising for Ghana’s future through the creation of decent jobs”.
