Five players of the Black Stars will miss the double header against Mexico and the USA respectively.

Andre and Jordan Ayew lead the list of players who were absent from Monday’s training at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“All the players we were expecting today are here – 21 players in number, there are two players who are still in competition, Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful, their clubs are still playing competitive matches in the States,” the spokesperson of the Ghana FA Ibrahim Saanie Daara told Starr Sports.

He added Afriyie Acquah is still on the side lines due to injury.

“The Ayew brothers [Andrey and Jordan] and Daniel Amartey have been excluded from the friendlies upon request from their respective clubs, but the GFA is still engaging these clubs for their possible release,” Daara opined.

The four-time African champions will depart Accra on Saturday for the States where they will play Mexico on June 28 before they take on USA on July 1.
