The Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei has said the probing of the sale of contaminated oil from the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) to Movenpiina and Zup Oil must be thorough to clear all doubts the public may habour.

“People should not play scum with it. Let’s get the fact and allow the institutions to work, NPA, ministry of Energy. I wish we have a proper investigation and know all the fact so we can deal with it”, he stressed.

The Energy Ministry has set up an eight-member committee to investigate the circumstances leading to the sale of over 5 million litres of contaminated fuel by the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST).

The Committee will be chaired by the sector Minister, Boakye Agyarko.

The membership of the committee is made up of officials drawn from the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Ghana Standards Authority, Civil Society Groups and other stakeholders.
