The Ashanti regional directorate of the Ghana Health Service has taken delivery of 150 hospital beds from Goil Ghana, an Oil Marketing Company.

The donation is intended to aid quality health care delivery in the country as part of their corporate social responsibility.

The 150 beds donated to the regional health directorate is part some 1000 beds the company procured for hospitals across the country.

Addressing the regional health directorate during a handing over ceremony at the Kumasi South Hospital, Martin Olu Davis who spoke on behalf of managing director of Goil said the company wants to help in the improvement of healthcare delivery in the country.

Ashanti regional director of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Alexis Nang-Baifubah commended management of the oil company for their kind gesture.

Dr. Nang-Baifubah also used the opportunity to call on other corporate organizations to emulate the gesture by Goil.

According to him, the beds will help curb the no-bed-syndrome which continues to claim human lives at various hospitals.
