Struggling Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks have instructed coach Kobina Amissah to proceed on a two-week leave.

Amissah who fought relentlessly to bring the Elmina-based football team from the lower division to the topflight last season, is finding it difficult to overturn the ill fortunes of his side since joining the Ghana Premier League.

With only 12 matches for the League season to come to an end, the club’s owner Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and the management took the decision after a crunch meeting.

Elmina Sharks are currently sitting at 12th position with just 21 points after 18 weeks into the season.
