A Takoradi Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Rita Doko has remanded 10 suspects in connection with the shooting in Sekondi-Zongo in the Western region.
They are Ahmed Ibrahim, Kalifa Cissey, Alhassan Abdulai, Aminatu Mohammed, Khassum Issah, Abdulai Rashid.
The rest are Abdul Aziz, Aminu Serinu, Salim Issah, and Hussein Yusif. According to the Police, two key suspects Maawia and Ballah are at large.
Last month seven people sustained gunshot and machete wounds following the clashes between factions in that community which turned bloody.
According to reports, one faction led by the regional Chief Imam Sheikh Alhassan attacked their opponents led by one Sheikh Mukadasu and opened fire on them.
According to the Sekondi District Commander, ASP Emmanuel Tetteh, the decision of the court will restore some sanity in the community.
The suspects are to re-appear in court on July 20.
