Three suspected armed robbers including teenagers have been arrested by the Bogoso police command for robbing and attacking some Chinese nationals at Anwona- Nkwanta near Beppoh in the Prestea Huni valley district.

The suspects, Baba Musa, 21, Anthony Boafo (small boy danger) and Sampson Azakeh, 16, were arrested at Atonsu Eggya, a community near Edwira Asante in the Ashanti Region.

According to the Bogoso police station officer Chief Inspector Foster Berko, the robbers attacked the Chinese nationals at their explosives factory at Anwona nkwanta  on April 23 this year  and went away with twenty-six thousand Ghana cedis and other belongings.

He said the robbers attacked the Chinese nationals again on May 29 but this time around, brutalised the Chinese nationals and fled off.

On both occasions, the Chinese nationals reported the incident to the police but no arrests were made.

Upon further investigation, the police had a tip off that the teenagers were hiding at Edwira in the Asante region, where they were arrested.

When they were arrested, they mentioned Baba Musa,  an apprentice at Anikoko, a suburb of Bogoso as their leader who was also subsequently arrested.

According to Chief Inspector Berko,  there are other two accomplices who are currently at large.
