Persons with Disability have called off their intended nationwide demonstration over the delay in releasing their share of the common fund.

This decision was reached after an engagement with the Common fund administrator, Naa Torshie Addo.

The delay in releasing their share of the common fund has badly affected the physically challenged persons as they aren’t able to pay their medical bills and other fees.

But President of the Ghana Federation of the Disabled, Yaw Ofori Debrah told Starr News Naa Torshie Addo has agreed to address their needs.

We had an engagement with the common fund administrator….we had an extensive discussion on the subject and we have come to a common understanding that the intended demonstration should be called off and a stakeholders meeting will be held to find a lasting solution to the problem and for that matter we are calling off the demonstration”.
