Several properties including a vehicle have been destroyed at Avenor in Accra after some suspected land guards clashed with traders over a parcel of land.

The unfortunate incident occurred Wednesday afternoon.

According to some traders, they were going about their daily activities when the unidentified suddenly attacked them.

Food vendors and some spare parts dealers saw their wares running into thousands of Ghana Cedis vandalized.

Personnel of the Ghana Police Service were called to restore order.

It is not clear who the protracted land belongs to but according to the traders, the land guards have been attempting to take over the land for some time now.

Some traders who sustained injuries have also been sent to the hospital for treatment.
