The Ghana Premier League outstanding Super clash game between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is reported grossed GH¢290,000 from the gates last Sunday.

The amount has been confirmed by the National Sports Authority in Kumasi on Monday.

According to ticketing officials over 34,000 tickets were sold on the day of the game.

Despite the high ticket prices the stadium was 70% filled to the surprise of organizers.

The match lived up to its billing with Asante Kotoko needing a penalty to draw 1-1 with Hearts of Oak.

The result leaves Hearts and Kotoko at their respective positions on the league table; third and fourth, with Kotoko having a game in hand against WAFA.
