A depleted Black Stars squad will fly out tonight to honour the second leg of  the 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Congo at the Kintélé Stadium come Tuesday.

The team will be without Captain Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Harrison Afful for the encounter.

Gyan and Dede had pulled out in Sunday’s training at the Accra Sports Stadium due to various degrees of injuries.

Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew and Harrison Afful are the latest to withdraw from the team.

Afful, who plays for MLS side Columbus Crew, is out of the travelling team because of a foot injury.

This setback denied him a starting role in last Friday’s 1-1 draw with the Red Devils of Congo at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. He came on as a second half substitute and seems to have aggravated the injury.

Jordan also missed Tuesday’s workout at the Accra Sports Stadium citing a stomach upset.

However, according to the Ghana FA there will be no replacements for the injured quartet.
