The Uganda Cranes team will conduct two training sessions before facing a select team of Northern Uganda on Saturday.

The first session shall be held on Thursday at Mandela National stadium in preparation and the second one on Friday in Lira.

The team shall depart to Lira on Friday morning according to the programme released by the FUFA PRO Ahmed Hussein.

“We shall have one session in Kampala and another in Lira. This will be in preparation for the regional tour match against Northern Region select team,” Ahmed noted.

Uganda Cranes will use the game as a preparatory warm up game for the penultimate FIFA World Cup 2018 group E qualifier against Ghana Black Stars on 7th October 2017 at Namboole stadium.

Head coach Moses Basena released a provisional team set for the regional tour and Ghana matches.

The regional tour match will be played by the locally based crop of players as the foreign based players will only start arriving on Monday.

Uganda Cranes main sponsors Airtel Uganda sponsor the regional tours.

The last time Uganda Cranes played against Northern Region select team, it was a 5-0 score line in favour of the national team, played at Pece stadium in Gulu district.
