Ghana’s coach Kwesi Appiah is confident his depleted squad will pick all three maximum points to against Uganda on Saturday in a crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Appiah’s side is now depleted after losing Captain Asamoah Gyan, Thomas Agyepong and Columbus Crew duo Harrison Afful, Jonathan Mensah and Christian Atsu.

The technical handler left out Ayew brothers Andre and Jordan of Swansea City.

Sweden-based Kingsley Sarfo, Isaac Twum of Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies and Young Boys defender Kassim Adams are new faces introduced.

Despite the absence of the core team Appiah believes his charges can deliver on the high.

”Players that are in now, their confidence levels are rising slowly and for that reason I believe when they go out there, there’s no too much pressure on them still they are able to express themselves,” Appiah said during the team’s training at the Kasarani.

Ghana will end their training camp in Kenya on Thursday after three days of practice and will fly to Uganda on Friday.

The Black Stars are third on the league log with 5 points and  look like they will miss out of the World Cup for the first time in three editions after a shocking performance against Congo at home.
