US-based Ghanaian Boxer, Bastie Samir has described his rival Bukom Banku as a good boxer.

Bastie knocked out Banku in style at the Bukom Arena before thousands of boxing fans on Saturday, October 21.

Asked by Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Wednesday,October 25 what exactly he said after he defeated the Bukom-based boxer for the first time, Bastie said: “Well, I was saying that Bukom Banku is a good boxer and in boxing definitely there will be a winner and a loser”.

Samir, an undefeated former captain of Ghana’s amateur boxing team ended Bukom Banku’s 28-0-0 unbeaten record on the exciting boxing night that drew thousands of enthusiasts including former boxing champions, Ike Quartey and Azumah Nelson.

Ahead of the much-anticipated bout, Bukom Banku vowed to knock Bastie out in the 6th round, and said he was going to force him into coma on the night, but that did not materialise.

A re-match is expected somewhere next year.
