Algerian center Referee, Mehdi Abid Charef, has been appointed to handle the Black Starlets of Ghana and the Les Aigles of Mali in the 2017 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.

Referee Charef will witness a repeat of the 2017 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations final between these two West African giants.

The Black Starlets have won the World competition on two occasions but suffered a painful defeat in the finals of the 2017 U-17 AFCON at the hands of the Malians and will be looking to revenge that defeat back in May.

Charef will be assisted on the lines by Abdelhak  Etviali from Algeria as well Anouar Hmila from Tunisia with Robert Madden from Scotland will serve as the fourth official.

The highly anticipated clash is slated for the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati  at 11:30 pm local time
