Dansoman based Liberty Professionals for the third time running escaped relegation in the Ghana Premier League after last day of matches

Liberty  defeated Kotoko 2-1 in the final match of the season to keep themselves in the elite division.

Samuel Sarfo and Samuel Annan scored two second half goals for the home team after Baba Mahama had given Kotoko the lead in the first half.

The victory was enough to help them maintain their Premier League status having struggled throughout the season.

Liberty after a defeat to Inter-Allies in the penultimate league match at the El WAK Stadium needed nothing less than a victory to avoid the drop.

The victory left the scientific soccer lads at the 12th position on the League table after 30 rounds of matches with 41points in the Ghana Premier League.
