It was indeed a sisters talk Saturday night, when over two hundred women converged at the best Western Atlantic Hotel, for the oil city’s version of the only event which gives women a boost to utilize their potential, Starr Woman.

The event brought women of all social standing to brainstorm on how they can take up their role of being a firm support in their homes, in the corporate world and above all being self reliant to be able to effectively provide that support.

The focus areas, becoming a brand, Financial Independence, Windows of Opportunity and reading the Fine Print were all interesting topics and an eye opener for most of the women.

The Speakers, Madam Stella Adu, Cluster Head, Commercial Banking, Access Bank, Lady Queen Blankson CEO of Cake is Art, Lady Eileen Erskine Head of Chambers at Cann Quashie and Co, the Boss lady herself Anita Erskine took turns to address the bevy of ladies who had gathered in anticipation to learn from these distinguished names and they were definitely elated they came.

There was the Q and A which sought to clarify and give more details to the participants on the focus areas.

For the Boss lady Starr Woman is no longer going to be a Ghana thing, the dream is to branch globally but as the old adage goes charity begins at home so the next successfully step is to take Starr Woman to the International stage.

The Starr team behind the project were taken aback when they had to break protocol to seat more women who thronged the venue.

The event was proudly sponsored by Access Bank (Access W Initiative) , Marie Stopes Ghana and Mutual Intergrity and was powered by Starr 103.5 Fm ,Empire 102.7 fm and GhOne TV.
