Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has stated that there are clear signs of corruption in the Akufo-Addo government.

Speaking at a Public Lecture on the Corruption menace in Ghana, organized by the Christian Service University College (CSUC) in Kumasi, Prof. Martey said a large government indicates a large corruption.

According to him, there is the need for a constitutional direction to streamline the size of Government in the country.

“A large Government means large corruption. So we should have a constitutional direction. NPP and corruption, I said clearly that what has been proven, the NPP appointees have begun showing signs of corruption”.

Prof. Martey was a staunch critic of the erstwhile Mahama administration often tagging the administration as corrupt.

He famously claimed that he rejected a $100,000 bribe plus a 4×4 wheel drive from a politician in the previous NDC government.

He also revealed that he was promised a plush house at Trassaco so he stops attacking the Mahama government.
