Ghana’s Black Starlets left for Guwahati on Thursday ahead of  their quarterfinal match against Mali at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Saturday.

Ghana cruised into the last eight with a 2-0 victory over Niger in an all-Africa affair.

Strikers Eric Ayiah and Richard Danso scored in each halve as the former Champions made it to the quarterfinals of the competition.

The team will now move from their base in Navi Mumbia to the Northeastern part of India for their next match.

Guwahati is the largest city of Assam and a major riverine port city. It is also one of the fastest growing cities in India.

A win over Mali on Saturday will see Ghana facing either Spain or Iran at the next stage of the competition.
