Ghana’s captain Asamoah Gyan and midfielder Thomas Agyepong have been dropped from the Black Stars final squad for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda in Kampala because on injury concerns.

The Black Stars opened their training camp in Kenya on Monday.

According to a statement from the Ghana FA, Gyan and Agyepong were unable to recover in time for the match to be played in Kampala on Saturday.

Appiah named a provisional 26-man squad last week for the match against the Cranes of Uganda.

The l team will travel to face the Cranes at the Mandela National Stadium on Saturday in the penultimate qualifier.
