Premier league board Chairman Ashford Tetteh Oku has revealed that the new Ghana premier league 2017/18 season will kick start by the end of January next year.

The commencement of the Ghana Premier League, will however be preceded by the season-opening Super Cup between winners of the league and FA Cup champions.

Premier League champions Aduana Stars will face MTN FA Cup winners, Asante Kotoko to determine the “champion of champions”.

Tetteh Oku believes all things being equal the league will kick start on their proposed date.

“After Tamale FA Congress, if our submitted Draft is considered then latest by January ending we will start”, he told Starr Sports.

Meanwhile registration for the first transfer window of the season will open from November 29th 2017 to February 28th.
