Black Queens Assistant Coach, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo is urging the Sports Ministry to speed up arrangements for Ghana to be able to host and win the 2018 Women’s AFCON.

According to 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup finalist, for the country to achieve this target government’s financial support should come in thick and fast.

The Ghana FA has forwarded a preparation plan to the Sports Ministry ahead of the continental competition, which kicks off in November but no response says Tagoe Quarcoo.

“According to my head coach he wishes very soon we will regroup for preparations for everything to start. All said and done everything has been documented at the Ministry and the GFA. So all stakeholders should join forces to achieve the host and win target if not it will be difficult”, she told Starr Sports.
