President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has given the Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong thumbs up for his contributions in the country’s waste management.

Nana Akufo-Addo said his vision of making Accra the cleanest City in Africa will be achieved if the private sector plays its role effectively.

President Akufo-Addo was speaking at a meeting with management of Jospong after he visited their Composite Recycling Site at Ajein Kotoku as part of his tour of the Greater Accra region.

He also used the occasion to counsel Dr. Agyepong to deal with the numerous controversies surrounding his outfits.

Dr. Agyepong expressed gratitude to the president for his visit, adding it gives strong indication of his government’s commitment to employ science and technology to identify the most economic and efficient ways to recycle urban waste.

He pledged his company’s support to aid Nana Addo to realise his vision of turning Accra into the cleanest city in Africa.

He commended the President for creating a Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to provide dedicated oversight responsibility nationwide on Sanitation issues.

He pledged that the Zoomlion Group is ready to partner all the relevant government agencies in diverse ways to help achieve and sustain the targets of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
