Accra Hearts of Oak skipper, Thomas Abbey is set to end his six-year stay at the Rainbow club by joining MLS side Minnesota after his contract expiration.

According to inside sources within Hearts, the America side has advanced talks in signing the versatile player come next season.

The Loons sent scouts to watch the talented star twice this season.

Abbey had a fascinating season after netting 13 goals and assisted four which aided Hearts of Oak to finish 3rd on the league table.

He was also an integral member of the Black Stars B squad which won the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations on home soil two months ago.

The 26 year-old, joined Hearts of Oak in 2011 from Windy Professionals.
