The Ghana Boxing Authority and its Amateur Federation received equipment worth thousands of dollars from SSNIT and ETC Polska on Tuesday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

These items included; boxing rings, punching bags, speed balls, medicine balls, gloves, bandages et al.

According to the donors this philanthropic gesture is to aid the development of the discipline in the country.

President Peter Zwennes and GABF’s George Lamptey who received the items believe this will be another turning point in Ghana Boxing.

“We appreciate this magnitude of donation and this will also boost the morale of the current Black Bombers team  training in Cape Coast ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Australia,” the two told Starr Sports.

Other bodies that benefited from the donations are; Catch Them Young (CTY) gym, The Boxing Federation and United Boxing Coaches  Association of Ghana.
