A 23-year-old known as Alex Tetteh has been arrested with a human head of a boy believed to be aged 12 years in the Western region.

The suspect, Alex Tetteh, was arrested by the people of Sankore, a farming community near Dixcove in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region as he was looking for a prospective buyer for the human head.

Narrating the incident to Empire News, District Police Commander, DSP Kingsley Owusu, said the suspect confessed that he severed the head with two other accomplices at Bogoso in the Prestea Huni Valley District also in the Western Region.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect had concealed the head in a black polythene bag.

Tetteh is currently in police custody at Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West District while the human head has been sent to Effia Nkwanta Mortuary for preservation as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, the police has launched a manhunt for the other two accomplices.
