Executives  of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency are threatening to leave the party if District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area Veronica Alele Heming is not sacked.

The Executives led by Chairman Zakaria Sulemana and Council of Elders Chairman Mahama Abudu are accusing Madam Veronica of undermining the party in the constituency. The actions of the DCE, the executives contend, are dwindling the fortunes of the party in the constituency.

According to a statement signed by the duo, “the action of the District Chief Executive in Bole-Bamboi is a great threat to the party’s chances in the constituency come 2020”. The executives are also accusing the DCE of snubbing leadership of the party in the constituency.

“Also Madam Veronica Alele Heming has refused to attend all five(5) meetings organized by the party constituency executives even though invitations invitation were extended to her and she has vowed never to attend any of such party meetings because she is not in a class of the entire executive committee”.

The statement revealed several petitions to Regional party Chairman, regional minister, minister of Local Government and Rural Development as well as the President for the removal of the DCE have all proved futile.

Speaking to Starr News Constituency Secretary Felix Abanjua disclosed the entire 15 executives are willing to leave the party if their demand is not met.“ ….she will just come and takeover and we will still be struggling as if we are in opposition then what’s our reason for belonging to this party because we know that its party that gave birth to government. And if party cannot even have access to their government that they gave birth to then where are we heading towards….. As at now the executives are threatening to leave the party if their demands are not met. We are about 15 executives and we also carry a heavy weight because we just won elections don’t forget and the grassroots is calling on the executives to do something”.

Mr. Abanjua argued executives have the full support of the party members for the action they are taking.

“….the party supporters are still behind the executives and we are saying that if the demand is not met, I think we have been in opposition for 8 years, we have not seen anything and even if we  leave the party it will still help us than what we are going through now”.

Madam MadamVeronica Alele Heming is yet to respond to calls by Starr News for a response.
