Rapper Kwesi Arthur has revealed that he once sang VVIP’s ‘ahomkawom’ hit at church.

According to him, the reaction he received after the gaffe was so embarrassing that he informed his mum about it.

He disclosed he was rebuked by the members of the church after which his mother gave him some strokes.

The ‘grind day’ hit-maker who is a member of the Church of Pentecost said he does not know what came over him for singing such a song in church.

“The only time I tried to sing in church, I messed up so bad. I went to do a VIP song and it got me into trouble. I had to call my mum and stuff. I regret it. I don’t know what came over me though. I forgot myself. I just went to the mic and started singing “w’animw’akyi, ahomkawom,” he told Citi fm.

Kwesi Arthur was recently nominated for a BET award but he missed out to South Africa’s Sjava.
