The Deputy Chief Executive of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Alberta Afia Akoto Friday donated items worth over GH¢40.000.00 and an undisclosed amount to the Korle Bu Maternity Ward ahead of her 40th birthday.

The items included 40 hampers, cartons of lactogen milk, 40 sets of diapers and wipes for babies among others.

Known for her generosity, Ms Afia Akoto also paid the medical bills of 40 nursing mothers detained at the Ward due to their inability to foot their bills after delivery. Again, she paid the medical bills of a six-year-old with a hole in his spine needing surgery.

The General Secretary of the NPP John Boadu including the General Manager for Angel TV, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah were at the Korle Bu Maternity Ward to support Ms Akua Akoto.
