President Nana Akufo-Addo will from today, September 14 begin a four-day tour of the Central region.

The visit will be his second to the region since assuming office some 18 months ago.

President Akufo-Addo will be touring some communities in the region and afford residents an opportunity to interact with him.

He will also cut sod for the commencement of new projects and inaugurate others for use.

Ahead of the visit, Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Takyi Mensah in an interview with Starr News explains that the President’s visit will take him to some five districts.

According to him, Nana Addo will visit the Komenda- Edina- Eguafo- Abrem municipality, specifically Komenda to hold a durbar with the chiefs and people of the area as well as visit the site of the Komenda Sugar Factory to apprise himself with developments.

As part of his activities in the region, he will inspect a 300-acre sweet potato farm under the “1-District- 1-Factory” initiative at Gomoa Bewadze, and commission a 20 Mega Watts Solar Farm at Onyadze, in the Gomoa West constituency.

The President’s last day will take him to Efutu and later to the University of Education, Winneba where he will commission the largest lecture theatre at the University as well as the induction of the new Vice Chancellor Prof. Afful Broni.

The President will end the tour on Monday, 17th August, 2018.
