The town of Abura Dunkwa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district of the central region has been hit with another murder making it three in month.

A security officer with the Ghana Commercial Bank , Abura Dunkwa Branch , Benjamin Ato Acquah was last night allegedly murdered during an altercation with some Malians who are into scrap dealing in the area.

Mr. Ato Acquah who is an Ebusuapanin of one of the clans in the area is said to have picked a quarrel with the Malians earlier in the day and later in the evening stormed the home of the Malians ostensibly to continue with the fight.

He is said to have been clubbed to death by the Malians who outnumbered and overpowered him in the night around 9pm.

His body has since been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for autopsy.

Chairman of the Funerals Committee of the town confirmed the incident to  Starr News Central regional correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour.

The development has sparked tension as youth of the town are on rampage demanding vengeance. The Police command in the area has reportedly dispatched officers to ensure calm.

A few weeks ago, Chief Linguist of the town Okyeame Kojo Ankomah and the wife Ohemaa Efuah were murdered.

he two had their throats slashed by the unknown assailant in their room Sunday night.

Their bodies were discovered Monday morning by their son, who on leaving for work, wanted to take his pocket money from his parents, who failed to respond to his calls on their door. The boy subsequently broke into the room only to find his parents murdered in cold blood.
