The life of 28-year-old Gifty Mensah at Koforidua the Eastern Regional capital is in danger having received death threats from suspected contract killers who murdered her father, Douglas Mensah,55, over a land dispute.

Her father was brutally murdered on September 22, 2014 by some unknown killers who dumped his body in an empty barrel and locked it for days in his room having sneaked into the room through the roof at night. The incident occurred at the back of a protracted litigation over a piece of land he occupied.

The deceased was engaged in a land litigation with one Mrs Margret Amankrah, Proprietress of now defunct Victory Vocational Institute and her Son Patrick Kwabena Adjei Badu now in the UK.

The late Douglas Mensah was the caretaker of a vars acre of land owned by the late husband of the Proprietress who reportedly rewarded him (Late Mensah) with the piece of Land before he died. However, after his death, the family rose against the late Douglas Mensah over the land.

Four years after the savage act, the assailants, yet to be arrested by the Police, continue to unleash death threats on his children compelling them to evacuate from their  house. However, the suspected contract killers have been launching attacks on the house to cause destruction.

According to Gifty Mensah, she does not feel safe as the contract killers who murdered her father relentlessly trail her footsteps while the feuding faction intensifies pressure to take over the piece of land the late father has built on.

” I don’t feel safe anymore, killers of my father continue to chase me over this land. Recently they attacked the house, destroyed the walls and parts of the building .They sent  death threats for me to vacate the land else I will be killed like my they killed my father “.

Gifty gripped with  fear says she moves from one house to another due to her safety. She appealed to the IGP to intervene and speed up investigations into the murder of her father.
