Dominic Obeng-Andoh of Obengfo Hospital

The prosecution in the case in which Dr Dominic Obeng Andoh, the Chief Executive Officer of Obengfo Hospital and one another are being held for murder has requested for time to study the Attorney General’s interim advice on the matter.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Appiosornu informed the court Tuesday that, the prosecution has received advice from the AG itemising things they have to reconsider.

He said they would need a month to conduct some further investigations into the matter.

The court presided over by Her Worship Afua Sackey adjourned to March 12, 2019.

The court last month discharged Dr Obeng-Andoh on the basis of “want of prosecution.”

Dr Obeng-Andoh was charged in May last with murder by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police Service following the mysterious death of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP), Stacy Offei Darko at his medical facility.

Offei Darko, 37, reportedly died at the Obengfo Hospital medical facility under mysterious circumstances. Her remains, according to her mother, Nana Akosua Anima, was concealed at the facility by Dr Obengfo for three days before it was sent to the mortuary without the knowledge of the family.
